How to change the lithium battery for wireless keyboard?

More and more wireless keyboards use a lithium battery for power supply with longer working time. After some years, the keyboards may not work longer because of losing the capacity of the lithium battery. It's easy to buy a new lithium battery for replacement. You have to follow the steps to change the lithium battery.

  1. Turn off the keyboard: Before changing the lithium batteries, turn your wireless keyboard off. There is usually an on/off switch on the side or bottom of the keyboard.

  2. Locate the battery compartment: Check the bottom or side of the keyboard for a lithium battery compartment. It is typically a small rectangular area with a cover or a sliding door.

  3. Remove the battery cover: Depending on the design, either slide the cover off, press a small tab to release the cover, or unscrew the cover using a screwdriver if screws are present.

  4. Remove the old lithium batteries: Carefully remove the old lithium batteries from the compartment, noting the orientation of the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals. Sometimes you can push up the connector & wires of the lithium battery. You also may have to unsolder the wires from PCB.

  5. Insert new batteries: Place the new lithium batteries in the compartment, ensuring the correct orientation of the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals. You can buy a new lithium battery from us. We have lots of different shapes and capacities of lithium batteries. Make sure to use the appropriate size and type of lithium batteries as specified in the user manual.

  6. Replace the battery cover: Reattach it by sliding it back into place, snapping it onto the compartment, or screwing it around if screws were present.

  7. Turn on the keyboard: Switch the keyboard back on using the on/off switch. Reconnect the keyboard to the device.
  8.

To estimate the lithium polymer battery life in months, consider the usage pattern of the wireless product. If the device is used daily and requires daily charging, a lithium polymer battery with a 300-500 charge cycle lifespan would last approximately 10 to 17 months (300 to 500 days) before experiencing noticeable capacity loss. Remember that adequately handling the lithium polymer battery can extend its life.

Avoid overcharging, over-discharging, exposing the battery to extreme temperatures, and physical damage. Using a lithium polymer battery with a higher capacity or a product with lower power consumption can also help increase the overall battery life.

It's essential to review the manufacturer's specifications and guidelines for the wireless product and its built-in lithium polymer battery to determine the expected battery life and any associated guarantees.
